Trees provide beauty, animal habitats, fresh oxygen, and a cleaner environment. Join experts from Darien’s Pollinator Pathway as we plant three trees on our own Middlesex school grounds. Sign up for this after-school opportunity to learn about native plantings and the care of trees before working to dig, plant and water our way to a more beautiful MMS. Opportunity for up to 25 students.

Clean Up Woodland Park– for families

Saturday, April 23, 10AM – NOON

Woodland Park, Darien

Pitch in with other MMS families to clean up one of Darien’s most treasured spaces with Friends of Woodland Park! We’ll pick up trash and spread new wood chips to refresh this in-town wonder of 64 acres perfect for dog walking and exploring nature. Meet us at the front entrance to Woodland Park off Middlesex Road. Surgical gloves and bags for garbage pick-up will be provided. You are welcome to bring work gloves and shovels to help spread wood chips. Students/groups of students must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Sign up HERE.

Volunteer with Person to Person

Saturday, April 30 from 12-2PM

Let’s work together to help P2P prepare for their annual Postal Food Drive! Sign up HERE to attach flyers to the shopping bags that our postal carriers will deliver to every Darien home. Once the bags are filled with non-perishable food items, they will be collected by USPS and delivered to P2P to stock the food pantry with essentials for our neighbors in need. Must bring your own stapler!
